The film 1920 - Evil Returns is a sequel to 1920, which was a big success in India in 2008. The film is produced by the Mumbai based film production company ASA Production and Enterprises.
The first film, 1920, was largely shot in a castle in North Yorkshire in the UK, and after several visits to Sweden, the company decided to locate the shooting of the sequel in Skane. The two castles Wrams Gunnarstorp and Hackeberga will be the locations for the sequel, but the shooting will also take place at several locations in Malmo, the outdoor museum Kulturen in Lund, in Ystad and Österlen.
